I love the windshield wiper situation on that Ultravan.

I like how the Ultravan appears to have windows lifted directly off a 60s-70s house.

DD the Vixen (GMC is cool but how many Vixens do you see out there?)
Camp the Ultravan (it already looks like a house with wheels.)

DD the Vixen, but it needs a better engine. Maybe a 335d’s engine?
Camp the GMC, but swap a modern AFM LS motor in it, because fuck fueling a 70s big block V8.
Burn the bloated Corvair.

That GMC got uglified. That’s one of those paint jobs where the original retro would look better at this point.
And I love the Ultravan but it looks like if Eeyore was a camper.

GMC = EM 50 Urban Assault Vehicle. Which makes it the best.

Plus toronado running gear and no axles in the rear. Gmc for all things.

Actually, I’m gonna back up a second on my Vixen plans, because I realized what can be done, even though it removes the whole BMW part.
So, the longitudinal BMW diesel+Renault manual powertrain was underpowered (they were expecting an Isuzu 3.0 instead), and they ended up switching to a transverse Buick 3800+4-speed auto in later Vixens. This means that a transverse V6 is on the table.
I’m going to propose the Toyota 2GR-FXS and P313 hybrid transaxle out of the Highlander and RX 450h. Somehow adapt it to use a larger lithium-ion battery, and install that in place of the house batteries. Use the hybrid system to power the house, up to and including having the engine run to re charge the batteries when boondocking.
Downside in this is that the engine’s in the back, under the bed - I’d prefer something front engine for that, which would actually mean the GMC would be the better one to do this to. Hmm, maybe a Lexus LS 600h AWD powertrain, with the center differential locked up to drive the front wheels, and the rear driveshaft removed?
